the seed bead book

This was a delicious book to make. Beads are such gorgeous things, so addictive and inspiring. Imagine being paid to spend days and weeks making projects from such lovely materials. Some people are just lucky I guess.

I have the heart pin and the fringed bracelet in my jewellery tray and I wear them often. When I have time on my hands (!!!) I plan to make another fringed bracelet in shades of mauve.

This is another book that little Elvis modelled in; I manage to smuggle her into most books one way or another.

Review from Amazon.com

This book is aimed squarely at the beader who wants to do a little more than just stringing, and would like to give the world of seed beading a try. There are projects that cover many techniques from making necklaces with designer fringe to the beaded flowers on the cover, and all are within the reach of a beader with little experience and a desire to learn. I think this book would a perfect way to help a beginner decide which direction to go next – beadweaving, beading of flowers, or as a way to just add a little jazz to bead stringing.
